"Berniecare?" - What do you think?

6 posts in this topic

Last Wednesday, Bernie Sanders introduced a "Medicare for all" healthcare bill:

Thoughts?

ETA: I've read that some people have already dubbed this plan "Berniecare" I guess it's easier to say than "Sanderscare". :)  Hence the title of this thread. But it probably should really be called MFA (Medicare for all).

P.S. In the thread on Obamacare, some members said that the very fact of health insurance has caused problems in this country. Would Sanders' proposal fix those problems in your opinion? Would it resolve any problems in the ACA?

If they (congresscritters) have to be on the same plans as the rest of us, we'd get better options.  All they seem to want to do is raise taxes on some folks.

I think that healthcare is/should be a right in first world countries. Sounds like Bernie is moving in that direction.

it'll be a good day when people dying in the US from a lack of insurance/financial ability is over.

Tricare. Fine, but hard to navigate the Gov't.

Bernie's plan, at a minimum, could be positive. Like Tricare and medicare. Even as Gov't plans are not the optimal.
