The holidays can be a lot of fun. But in all the "hustle & bustle," many of us have our frustrations & pet peeves. Maybe you're feeling frazzled b/c you still have so much Christmas shopping left to do, but "life" keeps "getting in the way." Or perhaps you're sick of the crowds in stores. Or your DIL/MIL/whoever served frozen potato pancakes for Hanukkah and you prefer homemade. Or you'd like to stop buying for the adults in your family already, but the rest of the family is aghast at the idea. Or they've decided to do "secret Santa" giving w/ the adults this year, and you're aching to buy for everyone. Or you're getting tired of holiday music. Or??

In short, what's been bugging you about the holiday season this year/overall? Let it out here!

As the old saying goes, so far - so good! :)

Maybe ask me the same question again in another week or so! LOL! No, but out of all seriousness, I maintain quite a level head this time of year, and aside from suffering from the likes of SAD (that seasonal disorder thing), I fair quite well in seeing the holiday through, though the constant tugging and invites tend to wear me down somewhat, but mostly it's just the race to nowhere that does me in.

Navigating around people who look lost (in stores), waiting in lines, and just the general hustle - bustle, tends to get me down, but other than that, I can't complain.

One thing I've found that reduces my stress level considerably, is shopping early and getting the bulk of what I need to do, out of the way early, that way I tend to enjoy the season more. It still amazes me as to how many people leave things till the last minute. Talk about inviting stress into ones life.

I'm good....not done shopping, but only have 4 of my 6gboys to go...and if I don't finish soon it's underwear & bibles...lol...I've been slowly packing up the boxes I'm taking to DS' for Christmas Eve.

Favorite cousin dropped out of the cookie bake today. Says she's just 'so behind' getting ready to host Christmas....she's a people pleaser so really cares what someone else thinks about how she presents everything...she's hosting her DD's, SsIL & gk....who grew up in that house and are only happy to be home, they don't care if their dad's mess is on the kitchen table, it's been there all their lives. But, to each her own.
