What to do if you get a "Wrong Password" message   01/21/16

You must reset your password (even if you know it's the right one) before you can sign into the community. Thanks to the upgrade, there's an issue with passwords and signing in. The good news is that you can click here: http://community.grandparents.com/index.php?/lostpassword/ to change your password (it'll let you reuse your old one). If you can't reach the email address connected to your account then please contact the admin at latoya@grandparents.com and I'll help you sort it out.

Come on in...

2 posts in this topic

... to Grandparents without Grandchildren, 2018, a forum about estranged parents/grandparents, etc. Posters here  talk about specific estrangements and explore more general questions about broken family relationships. Sometimes, we also, discuss the concept of GVR (grandparents' visitation rights), as well as specific GVR cases. It feels a little strange to welcome people to a group that focuses on such an unfortunate topic. But welcome, anyway! And please feel free, when you're ready, to come in and vent, ask questions, offer comfort or advise and/or share ideas about these issues. We're here for you!

Please realize that in the pain of estrangement, some posters might say some very angry and unpleasant things about the people they're estranged from. Please realize, also, that given the broad spectrum of opinions and styles we enjoy on this site, you might hear some perspectives you didn't expect. Hopefully, though, we can all speak to each other w/ respect and maybe even some compassion. Please make sure, of course, to always stay w/in the GP.com guidelines (just click on to read):

Though this ^^^ says "on this forum," it actually applies to the whole community - Forums, Blogs & Gallery. You'll find a similar thread or the link to one in every forum.

Also, please note that these guidelines were originally posted in 2015. and updated/refined since then. As such, not all of them may necessarily be reflected in any threads you might read that are older than that. Nor do we mods go back and edit/delete posts in such old threads retroactively.

Meanwhile, please feel free to introduce yourself, either here or in one of the following threads in this forum:

But if you spoke w/ us in the former "Come on in..." thread, no worries. It's still here, just further down the page (and locked).

ETA: Please read on for some additional threads that you might find helpful, whether you're new here or have returned after a long absence...
