PLEASE READ: We are moving the community   02/15/18

Dear Community friends and family,   After great consideration, we are moving the Grandparents.com community to Facebook Groups effective March 15, 2018.   This wasn’t an easy decision, but we want to bring our communities together and believe the best place to do so is through Facebook’s groups feature. We’re so appreciative of you and the diverse conversations and opinions you have provided over the past 9 years. Your stories and amazing advice have helped so many readers, and have reached thousands of GP.com users. We encourage you to retrieve any information you want to retain as the forum will only be accessible by the admin after March 15, 2018. We’ve created a closed Facebook group called Mothers-in-Law Unplugged where we welcome you to continue the conversations around grandparenting, family, and in-law relationships, and any general topics we discuss here. As the group is closed and each user must be approved, your friends and family on Facebook won’t see any of your activity. Request to join the group here: http://bit.ly/milunplugged Thank you to all of our past and current users. You helped build our community, and we look forward to continuing to interact with you in the Facebook groups. If you have any questions about the groups and privacy, let’s chat about here:   Sincerely,   The Grandparents.com Team

It's that time again! Super Bowl Sunday is tomorrow? Where will it find you? On your own, intently watching every play? Sharing the experience w/ your spouse/SO/BFF? Or making a party of it w/ a whole slew of family and/or friends and a spread of good food? Then again, maybe you won't be watching at all?

Please let us know your plans below. And please take the poll above, as well.

Not a football fan, and if I *had* to watch, it would be CFL, since Wolf's not a NFL fan.

Just not into it, period- But love the reactions of fanatics, I find them way more interesting the game itself- I like hockey and watching the Olympics-

My husband and I generally watch with my family and our immediate family. Several TVs, various food areas, quiet spaces, noisy spaces. Some of the kids have poms ready, and hats/Tshirts.

The Phoenix Open will be on in one space, we all like golf as well as football.

We have our food assignment (great menu), food to be done in advance is done.

ETA: Skiing, SuperBowl and Valentines are typically our only family times in February.

Hubby and I don't watch, don't even know who is playing.  The church has a "Soup'er Bowl" potluck after services and then no evening services so the dye hards can stay home and watch the game.

Lunch will be wonderful.  I have a cake in the oven now and am making Sante Fe soup in the morning.  Serve it with chips, cheese and sour cream...yum.

I have an invitation to watch, but doubt if I'll go...and I have two squares in the pool...it's a fundraiser for GB#1's baseball team..."My team" isn't playing, but their rival is...and since I have some Minnesota roots my hopes are on the the Vikings.I may tune in for the half time show...some years that's the best part.

Edited to add: Apparently I am totally out of the loop as the Vikings lost to the Eagles in the play-offs....so, go Eagles...I have my New England Voodoo doll at the ready...
