PLEASE READ: We are moving the community   02/15/18

Dear Community friends and family,   After great consideration, we are moving the Grandparents.com community to Facebook Groups effective March 15, 2018.   This wasn’t an easy decision, but we want to bring our communities together and believe the best place to do so is through Facebook’s groups feature. We’re so appreciative of you and the diverse conversations and opinions you have provided over the past 9 years. Your stories and amazing advice have helped so many readers, and have reached thousands of GP.com users. We encourage you to retrieve any information you want to retain as the forum will only be accessible by the admin after March 15, 2018. We’ve created a closed Facebook group called Mothers-in-Law Unplugged where we welcome you to continue the conversations around grandparenting, family, and in-law relationships, and any general topics we discuss here. As the group is closed and each user must be approved, your friends and family on Facebook won’t see any of your activity. Request to join the group here: http://bit.ly/milunplugged Thank you to all of our past and current users. You helped build our community, and we look forward to continuing to interact with you in the Facebook groups. If you have any questions about the groups and privacy, let’s chat about here:   Sincerely,   The Grandparents.com Team

PMs

That's not PMS but pm's - Some of you may not know that you can send and receive private messages to someone in gp.com by going way up to the right corner and clicking "MY ACCOUNT". If you will go to your settings you can also set up your 'announcement' settings to receive an email once a day or once a week if there is one for you. That would be handled under 'SETTINGS' just at the top of the page. There are times I'd like to send a pm to one of you for some reason - or you might want to do the same - just to make sure you are aware of those options. pat

No, you're not losing your minds, MILA members! And you're not in the Twilight Zone - though sometimes, it feels like it. Due to the current technical problems, dearme's post - PMs??? - sent you to an old thread of the same name in another room, Empty Nest No Longer! To get back to MILA, just click on Family Matters (just above the title of the thread) and then MILA. .... To answer your question, dearme, the PM/Account system isn't working, right now. GP.com is aware of it. But if you'd like to express this or any other concern to GP.com, directly, please feel free to email them at groups@grandparents.com. And, once again, please realize, it's going to take some time to get everything fixed.... Sorry about this tedybearnana and ENNL members. But, right now, if a poster puts up a thread with the same or similar title to an older one, apparently, "eats it" and people even find themselves being sent to other groups when they try to read and reply. A MILA member wrote a post ,entitled PMs???, asking where the My Account boxes went, etc, and it got eaten up by this thread! LOL! I wish all these problems would just go away. But I know GP.com is working on them and, in time, all the kinks, I'm sure, will be worked out. :- )
